WHAT IS HYDRAFACIAL?
Hydrafacial takes its name from the word ‘hydrate’. Its skin-moisturizing feature distinguishes Hydrafacial from all other skin renewal methods. This treatment cleanses dead skin cells and dirt while nourishing fresh skin with cleansing and moisturizing serums. The treatment is soothing, refreshing and non-irritating. Most importantly, it is effective immediately and also contributes significantly to long-term skin health. The method, which provides skin renewal without damaging the skin with the improved Vortex technology; removes dead skin cells and absorbs all dirt in the pores, then nourishes the pores with nutrient-rich serums “boosters”. This application is much gentler than classic microdermabrasion treatments. Therefore, it can be used comfortably even on very sensitive skin. Hydrafacial care is very fast and effective, taking only 30 minutes to complete. In addition, the results are immediately noticeable and do not require recovery time. It is generally effective for the following skin conditions;
Oily, acne-prone skin
Dry skin
Uneven skin tone
Fine lines and wrinkles
Hyperpigmentation
Sun damage
Age spots
Blackheads
HOW IS HYDRAFACIAL APPLIED?
The Hydrafacial treatment includes a total of 4 facial treatments in one session: cleansing and exfoliation, a gentle chemical peel, vacuum suction, and a hydrating serum. These steps are performed using a patented HydraFacial device. Unlike traditional facials, which can have different effects depending on your skin type and aesthetician, it provides consistent results and can be used on all skin types. The Hydrafacial treatment is often combined with LED light therapy. Blue light helps reduce the visibility of acne, while red light helps reduce the visibility of wrinkles.
SO WHAT HAPPENS DURING HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENT?
This application takes approximately 30 minutes. The process flows as follows.
1 – Cleansing
The first step during the application is cleansing and exfoliation. The skin is gently cleaned while the pores are thoroughly opened. Dead skin cells and soap are cleaned. This part of the application is similar to the feeling of an electric toothbrush being gently pressed against your skin.
2 – Chemical Peeling
Then, the chemical peeling part is started. Unlike classic chemical peels, which are often irritating or painful and leave the skin red for days, Hydrafacial uses a non-irritating blend of salicylic and glycolic acids for a gentle yet effective peel. The purpose of this step is to loosen deep pore residue.
3 – Extraction
The third step in the HydraFacial is extraction. This is the step where the Hydrafacial device uses its powerful but painless vacuum suction feature to remove blackheads and dirt from the pores.
4 – Moisturizing Serum
Finally, the Hydrafacial device is used to apply a soothing, proprietary antioxidant and hydrating serum with peptides and other beneficial nutrients. This step helps to detoxify, rejuvenate and moisturize the skin.
The effect of the Hydrafacial treatment can also be increased with additional procedures such as light therapy or fillers after the treatment. Other medical aesthetic procedures can be performed after this procedure. For our other services, Medical Skin Care and Botox, you can check out our procedures page.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF HYDRAFACIAL APPLICATION?
Suitable for all skin types and concerns:
Oily and acne-prone, dry and flaky or combination skin can all benefit from the Hydrafacial treatment. Even those with sensitive skin can safely enjoy multiple sessions. It targets many of the most common skincare concerns such as dryness, aging, wrinkles, texture differences, acne/congestion. It also provides effective results for skin concerns such as Rosacea, which are not yet suitable for any treatment.
Cleanses and hydrates: Hydrafacial not only gently cleanses pores, it also injects the skin with peptides, antioxidants, and serums containing hyaluronic acid.
Protects the skin barrier: It protects the skin barrier by deeply hydrating the skin, gently removing residue.
Brightens the skin: By filling the pores with antioxidant-rich serums, the skin is left with a brighter complexion. In addition, hydrated skin reflects light and looks much brighter.
Provides fast results: Hydrafacial takes only 30 minutes from start to finish, and there is no downtime after the treatment. The improvement in skin texture and tone is immediately noticeable, so patients don’t have to wait for healing or redness to disappear. You can apply makeup and resume normal activities immediately after the treatment.
Customizable: The Hydrafacial treatment can be tailored to your unique skin needs and aesthetic goals. Additional medical procedures can be combined to brighten the skin and eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, the suction power of the vacuum can be adjusted to be more gentle on sensitive areas such as the eye area.
Consistent results: Since most of the treatment is controlled by the Hydrafacial technology, a consistently high-quality treatment is achieved every time.
Painless process: The Hydrafacial treatment does not cause any pain on the skin. This is why it is often preferred.
HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD HYDRAFACIAL BE APPLIED?
If you do not have a regular facial or hydra-care routine, it may be beneficial to start with 2-4 sessions per month for about 3 months. Once you have established a better foundation for facial and skin health, one session per month will be sufficient. In therapeutic Hydrafacial applications, a course of 4 to 6 sessions is applied at one-week intervals. For those with acne-prone and oily skin types, it may be better to have this treatment every 2-3 weeks.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEDICAL SKIN CARE AND HYDRAFACIAL?
Unlike medical skin treatments, Hydrafacial provides a gentle cleansing and revitalizing experience to the skin without any pain during or after the treatment. This treatment is a great option for people of all ages with a wide range of skin problems and provides many benefits that can be seen immediately on the skin. In traditional skin treatments, the cleansing phase usually results in pain and redness. Pressing and squeezing force is applied to the skin. However, this technology gently exfoliates the skin without force.
The most important difference of this application from other skin treatments is that it reduces a multi-stage process to a single stage and increases its effectiveness. With this skin care, also called 3-in-1, different skin problems can be solved in the same treatment. The entire process is carried out by a specialist physician. In other medical skin treatments, different physicians may have different time periods.
While some medical skin treatments are not suitable for extremely sensitive skin, this application can be beneficial for Rosacea. Scientific studies have proven that those who receive Hydrafacial treatment have a greater reduction in the signs of skin aging compared to those who use only serum and traditional skin care.
IS HYDRAFACIAL SAFE DURING PREGNANCY?
